Image: Where Do We Go From Here?
Joseph Rodriguez

Joseph Rodriguez's photo essay documents the lives of siblings Julia, Joe, and Steve Stewart. After Hurricane Katrina, their New Orleans neighborhood flooded, and they were left to perish while helicopters flew overhead. Abandoning hope of rescue, they swam in neck-high waters to reach an overpass, where they spent three nights before reaching the Superdome. After spending months in Denton, Texas, they returned home to find they had lost everything.
