In this film, Chris Tetens and Lauren Thompson tell the stories of five individuals from New Orleans—a recovering addict, a street-level hustler, an ex-con on a mission, a convicted drug dealer, and a first-time felon—all struggling against the odds, but each on a quest to reclaim his or her life. Following them through their daily challenges, Tetens and Thompson look at what causes the cycles of addiction, crime, and incarceration plaguing New Orleans and communities around the country.
