This spirited selection of photographs by Youth Radio members and staff feature some of the people featured in their project Generation Katrina: Youth Voices from New Orleans, including Jiarra Jackson and the Robinson family. The pictures of young musicians, schoolchildren, siblings, and objects—such as a sign reading "Thou Shalt Not Kill"—reveal how people continue to stake a claim to their communities, and their lives, in the face of adversity.
