Youth Radio

Produced by Youth Radio, this one-hour collection of personal narratives and features documents the world of young people in New Orleans after Katrina. It explores the latest in local youth culture, the challenges of living in high-crime communities, programs that put young people on the right track, reflections on jazz music and culture, environmental justice efforts in the Vietnamese community, and spoken-word performances at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. "Generation Katrina" has aired on various Public Radio International affiliates all over the United States.
