To mark the publication of Beyond the Foster Care System: The Future for Teens (Rutgers University Press), by Open Society Institute Individual Project Fellow Betsy Krebs and Paul Pitcoff, OSI hosted a panel discussion to discuss ways that teens who are aging out of the foster care system can transition successfully to adulthood.
Paul Pitcoff, Co-founder and Director of Education at the Youth Advocacy Center, moderated a conversation with:
- Len Elmore, Basketball Analyst, ESPN, and Senior Counsel, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene, and MacRae;
- Allison Hall, foster teen and “Getting Beyond the System” Alumnus;
- Jeremy Kohomban, President and CEO, Children’s Village;
- Betsy Krebs, Co-founder and Executive Director, Youth Advocacy Center.
