Youth Forum 2008

Location: Smolyan, Bulgaria
Event Date: July 23, 2008 - August 5, 2008

Over 250 debaters from around the world gathered in Smolyan, Bulgaria, to train and compete for two weeks at the 14th annual Youth Forum. High school students, coaches, and trainers representing over 34 countries and 5 continents took part in tournaments and capacity-building sessions in Karl Popper and British parliamentary debate formats.

OSI has been a key supporter of this event since its inception, working in partnership with the International Debate Education Association (IDEA) to encourage young people to discuss current issues and build skills for active citizenship.
