Minnesota Human Rights Group Launches Website

Date:
November 23, 2003

Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights has launched the Stop Violence Against Women website, a resource for individuals and organizations working to eliminate violence against women in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and in the former Soviet Union. The launch was timed to coincide with the International Day Against Violence Against Women on November 25, 2003, which is also the first day of the global "16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence" campaign. (Robin Phillips)

The website, www.stopvaw.org was designed in Minnesota with support from the United Nations Women's Fund (UNIFEM), OSI's Network Women's Program, Urban Planet, the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center, and many volunteers.
