Travel and Event Grants
The Open Society Institute International Women's Program (IWP) supports and helps build the capacity of national and regional women’s groups, human rights groups, and other relevant organizations to undertake advocacy, education, and outreach. Through its Travel and Event Grants Program the IWP aims to amplify the voices of women's rights advocates in key international policy venues to:
- ensure visibility of their issues and regions;
- provide access to larger policy platforms to reinforce advocacy work;
- increase partnerships with other networks and coalitions;
- and/or engage policymakers and processes at the international or regional levels.
The IWP administers a limited number of small grants that support members of women's rights–related organization in countries where OSI operates to attend relevant international conferences and events. Preference will be given to organizations from the IWP's focus countries, past or current grantees, those who do not have access to other funding sources, and/or those who are a part of larger networks or coalitions.
