Sponsored by the Network Women's Program, the conference engaged gender studies scholars/practitioners and empowering education scholars/practitioners in examining the next stages for the development of gender education at all levels in the former Soviet Union. More than 100 people attended the conference, from Central Asia and the Caucuses as well as Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine.
