Soros Foundations

The International Women’s Program works closely with individual Soros foundations to implement policies and support local organizations. Find out more about Soros foundations.

Information and Documentation (2001-2005)

Consistent, analytically sufficient, and credible information on women and gender issues is a critical yet unmet need in Soros network countries. The Network Women's Program (NWP) promotes and encourages locally initiated collaborative information projects and information exchange among Soros foundations and other women’s organizations.

The Regional Women’s INDOC Network (REWINDNET)

The Regional Women’s INDOC Network (REWINDNET), which has been affiliated with the Network Women's Program since 2001, connects 17 women's centers in 16 countries and is an important resource for women’s movements and advocacy nationally, regionally and globally. The network receives technical assistance from the NWP's institutional partner, Zenska Infoteka in Croatia, one of the region’s most established women’s information centers.

REWINDNET strengthens the capacity of national women’s movements by supporting local activities such as collecting, processing, publishing and disseminating information on women, while also bringing this data and knowledge to the regional and global level by collaborating with other INDOC centers on jointly developed common projects.

For more information, visit REWINDNET’s website at www.zinfo.hr/engleski/pages/education/INDOC/indocHome.htm.
