Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the EU (2000-2006)

The Network Women's Program (NWP) addresses issues facing European Union (EU) accession countries through its network on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the EU, New Member States and Applicant Countries (EONET). This is the successor program of NWP’s 2001-2003 Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the European Union Accession Process (EOWM) network initiative.

EONET is conceived both as a vital follow-up to the achievements of the EOWM and as a vehicle to continue and advance regional collaboration among transforming women’s programs in the accession countries. The program aims to respond to the urgent gender equality issues related to the enlargement process and the European Convention.
