Video: Women Liberia—Fighting for Peace

OSI and Amnesty International held a film screening and panel discussion of Women of Liberia: Fighting for Peace (view clip above), a documentary by two-time Academy Award–winner Jonathan Stack.

The documentary introduces viewers to the women of Libera's conflict—from the eruption of fighting to peacetime—and the challenges they confronted along the way. Faced with economic hardship, shame, and stigma, these brave women found the strength and ambition to strive and ultimately prevail. Their stories are an inspiration and an important lesson for decision makers in post-conflict situations.
