The Transparency and Integrity Fund was created to safeguard and strengthen two values at the heart of any democratic system: transparency and integrity. It unites OSI's past support for advocacy on judiciary and media independence, election systems reform, and the politicization of government science policy.
The Transparency and Integrity Fund will use a combination of grantmaking strategies and programmatic initiatives to:
- ensure transparency and effective government oversight, via independent watchdog organizations and media;
- protect the integrity of government institutions, including the judiciary and electoral systems.
