John Howard Association
Fazal, an appellate defender in Chicago, seeks to change the mindset in Illinois about the treatment of long-term prisoners. With the support of the John Howard Association and an experienced advisory board, Fazal will conduct research, litigation, and coalition building that will result in increased opportunities for this population without compromising public safety, and reduce recidivism as well as corrections spending.
