Funding to the Black AIDS Institute will provide program support to launch a national HIV/AIDS policy reform campaign within the African-American community.

The Black AIDS Institute is the first and only African American HIV/AIDS policy center and think tank dedicated exclusively to reducing and eradicating HIV/AIDS health disparities by mobilizing Black institutions and individuals to confront the epidemic and by promoting healthcare access, public education, and progressive policy reform. Established in 1999 to address the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic, the Institute is a prominent civil rights agency and research center that provides national training and capacity building to organizations and institutions addressing health disparities in the Black community.
