Rashid Kwame Shabazz Joins the Campaign for Black Male Achievement

Date:
April 24, 2009

The Campaign for Black Male Achievement welcomes its newest member and program officer, Rashid Kwame Shabazz. Shabazz brings with him a robust professional history of community organizing and strategic communications work with progressive organizations, including the Drug Policy Alliance, the Prison Moratorium Project, Break the Chains and The New York Funder's Collaborative.

A former recipient of an OSI-funded Social Justice Fellowship at the New York University Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Shabazz most recently served as a senior account executive with Fenton Communications, where he developed media and communications projects for nonprofit clients, and authored a white paper, Seize the Moment: Reframing the Story of Black Males in the Media.

We welcome the expertise and insight Shabazz brings to the Campaign for Black Male Achievement as we finalize a strategic blueprint that will guide our efforts over the next two years.
