Education Equity and Reform

Grantee List

Grantees
Eagle Academy Foundation
2008

The Eagle Academy Foundation will use OSI support to create a Summer Professional Development Institute to train educators and school administrators to develop and deliver curricular and extracurricular activities to meet black male students' academic, social, and emotional needs.

The long-term goal for the institute is to create and provide a model for professional development that can be replicated by other educators.  Invitation to participate in the summer institute will be extended to school professionals across the country interested in education innovation for boys of color, and will be free of charge. It will be staffed by both outside consultants who are experts in their fields and designated staff members of the Eagle Academy.
