Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color

OSI support will enable The Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color to fund a range of activities connected to its formation: to develop a strategic plan and business plan to guide the organization's operation in the critical start-up years; set and promote standards of excellence in teaching boys of color; organize a third annual conference to be held April 30 to May 1, 2009, in New Orleans for 150 educators; and develop communication mechanisms, including a website, for facilitating communication amongst educators, researchers and policy makers.
