Youth Development and Civic Engagement

Place-Based Leadership and Organizing
OSI Campaign for Black Male Achievement grants further the priority of developing approaches that build local coalitions to marshal resources and expertise to improve life outcomes for black men and boys.

Strengthening Families / Responsible Fatherhood
The OSI Campaign for Black Male Achievement's grantmaking aims to advance responsible policy agendas aimed at reversing the economic, political, and social isolation of low-income black men and fathers; using strategic communications to bolster the efforts of the responsible fatherhood movement and the broader movement to advance the interests of black men; and enhancing the capacity of direct services and organizing groups to engage in sophisticated multi-issue policy advocacy.

Strategic Communications and Social Marketing
OSI Campaign for Black Male Achievement grants further the use of strategic communications to reframe mainstream media representation of African American boys, as well as provide platforms for them to inspire and inform their peers about the positive paths they have chosen.

Economic Opportunities
OSI Campaign for Black Male Achievement grants support the promotion of job access and economic mobility for black men.
