Turkmenistan Project Grants

Guidelines

The Open Society Institute supports civil society development in Turkmenistan in part through a small grants program administered by the Central Eurasia Project's Turkmenistan Project.

Grant applications to the Turkmenistan Project may be made in English and in Russian, and are reviewed three times a year by OSI staff and an independent Advisory Board. Reviews are generally conducted in March, June, and November, but applicants should contact the Grants Officer (see below) to confirm the next deadline.

For further information or an application form, please see the Turkmenistan Project grant guidelines or contact the Grants Officer. All applications and deliberations are strictly confidential.

Other Funding Sources

Some OSI programs and Soros foundations also fund civil society work in or related to Turkmenistan. The Turkmenistan Project Grants Officer can help direct prospective applicants to these programs, which run their own grant competitions independently and according to different deadline cycles.

To view a list of additional (non-OSI) funders of civil society initiatives in Turkmenistan, please see the donor list.
