INEKO - Slovak Institute for Economic and Social Reform
2007 Feedback on populism and government's (in)efficiency INEKO counted 305 promises in the election campaign by Robert Fico, current Slovak Prime minister. Within this project INEKO analyzed 180 of these promises, their policy implications and obvious contradictions between some of them. The organization has pursued monitoring the fulfillment of those promises for second consecutive year. In addition to the analysis and publishing of the monitoring results, INEKO suggests alternative policy solutions where suitable and needed. At the end of the project, INEKO will develop a guidebook for citizens on how to detect a populist discourses.
