Goran Buldioski
Program Director
Think Tank Fund

Goran Buldioski is program director of the Open Society Institute Think Tank Fund. The fund, based in Budapest, provides core and institutional support to multi-thematic think tanks in South Eastern Europe, Moldova, Ukraine, and the South Caucasus, and programmatic support to policy centers in EU member states that acceded after 2004. In addition to the grantmaking, Buldioski is engaged in strategic development of these centers and oversees their their work on behalf of the fund.

Buldioski previously worked for the Youth Council of Macedonia, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation, and the Council of Europe's European Youth Center in Budapest, Hungary. As an independent expert, he has been contracted by many organizations including Habitat for Humanity International, the Institute for Sustainable Communities, and the Nansen Dialogue Center. Buldioski has special expertise in strategic planning and capacity building of NGOs, organizational and project management in the nonprofit sector, and development of democratic and participatory policy change in Eastern and Central Europe. He holds a graduate certificate from the George Washington University in organizational development and is completing a master's degree in human resource management at the Institute for Sociological, Juridical, and Political Research in Skopje, Macedonia.
