OSI announces the Social Work Faculty Fellowship for candidates from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Each award recipient spends one semester at a university in the United States and returns home to resume teaching.
The Social Work Faculty Fellowship is a nondegree program aimed at facilitating the development of social work departments and associated teaching and research in participants’ home countries. The program provides the opportunity for outstanding junior faculty to expand their knowledge of social work and potentially re-specialize in social work through spending time at a U.S. university’s school of social work. The program seeks to generate innovative approaches to curricular and pedagogical reform in the countries served, and support the development of regional and international institutional partnerships and collaborative projects.
