Undergraduate Exchange Program
Application Guidelines | Selected Grantees | Case Studies
The Undergraduate Exchange Program (UEP) supports students from Albania, Kosovo, and Ukraine (studying in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, or Zaporizhia only) for a two year fellowship involving one year, non-degree liberal arts study in the United States and one year community service leadership in one’s home country. Applicants must currently be enrolled as a second-year student at a university in one of the eligible countries to qualify.
Participants attend a university or college in the United States for one year. While in the United States, grantees agree to complete 25 hours per semester of community service work in an area of interest to them. At the end of the year, grantees are expected to return home to complete their degrees. Once back in their home country, grantees complete a community-based service project in their own community.
