Baxtale Rom: A Grassroots Desegregation Initiative
The Roma center Baxtale Rom, funded by OSI's Roma Participation Program, developed a pre-school initiative in 2001 to challenge the practice of placing Romani children in "special" schools or separate remedial classes in mainstream schools. This photo essay, by Endre Sebok, traces the initiative.

Roma Photo Exhibition
This online exhibit features two series of photographs commissioned by the Roma Participation Program: "The Roma of Central and Eastern Europe," by Rolf Bauerdick, and "Challenging Segregation," by Jason Orton.
