Roma Participation Grants

Roma Participation Grants aim to further the integration of Roma in society and empower Roma to challenge the direct and indirect racial discrimination that continues to hinder such integration. Grants are provided for the following objectives:

  • institutional support to cover basic running costs for Romani nongovernmental organizations in Central and South Eastern Europe;
  • qualification grants to support capacity building, pilot projects, and grassroots campaigns by Roma organizations, and to provide training and internship opportunities to expand and consolidate the new generation of Roma women and men to take leading roles in national and international Romani movements;
  • to broaden Roma awareness of the priorities of the Decade of Roma Inclusion and create opportunities for increased Roma participation in the Decade process;
  • to promote Roma women’s access to public institutions and participation in decision-making processes and to build a critical mass of Roma women leaders.

Attached below are two Roma Participation Grants application forms: one to be used when applying for institutional support and another to be used when applying for project funding.

Applications should be submitted by e-mail to roma@osi.hu.
