Rights Initiatives of the Open Society Foundations provide funding to groups and individuals on the local and international level to promote human rights and government accountability. The initiatives aim to bolster existing activities by reaching out to new partners and supporting collaboration across the Foundations.
The initiatives also seek to create new opportunities for engagement with civil society organizations working nationally, regionally, and internationally. Rights Initiatives consist of the following four funds:
