The Program on Reproductive Health and Rights supported projects emphasizing grassroots advocacy and litigation addressing:

• diminished access to reproductive healthcare services;
• the growing climate of violence and intimidation in which services are rendered; and
• the conservative political climate in the United States that has reduced public funding for progressive health and welfare policies overall.

NOTE: This program is being phased out at the end of 2003. No further grant applications will be accepted.
