The Program on Reproductive Health and Rights, an Open Society Institute initiative, has closed. The program worked to promote the development of policies and practices to protect women's comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare, including abortion, both in the United States and in the countries and regions where the Open Society Institute operates.

About This Initiative
The Program on Reproductive Health and Rights promotes reproductive freedom as a core element in advancing women’s civil liberties and human rights, and in securing larger social and economic opportunities for women and their families. Note: This program is closed. No further grant applications will be accepted.

Soros Reproductive Health and Rights Fellowships
The fellowships provide scholars and activists with the opportunity to engage in collective discussion, research, analysis, and publication to advance progressive reproductive health and rights policies around the world.

Advocacy and Litigation
The Program on Reproductive Health and Rights supported projects emphasizing grassroots advocacy and litigation.
