OSI Documentary Photography Project Announces Moving Walls 16 Photographers

Date:
February 27, 2009

The Open Society Institute Documentary Photography Project is pleased to announce the photographers included in its Moving Walls 16 exhibition.  The exhibition will open on September 29, 2009, in the OSI New York City office and move to the Washington, D.C., office in the fall of 2010.

Moving Walls is an annual documentary photography exhibition produced by the Open Society Institute. The exhibition series is an artistic interpretation of the obstacles—such as political oppression, economic instability, and racism—that society often erects and the struggles to tear those barriers down.

Since its inception in 1998, Moving Walls has featured over 100 photographers whose works address a variety of social justice and human rights issues that coincide with the Open Society Institute's mission.
