Randa Mirza: Biography

Randa Mirza, a photographer and video artist, was born in Beirut in 1978. After graduating from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in advertising, she studied fine arts in Paris for two years before returning to Lebanon. Mirza’s work reflects on wars and postwar circumstances, and the role the media plays in these struggles. Her current project, which adds tourism to the mix, is no exception. Her photographs and video projects have been exhibited throughout the Middle East and in Europe.
