Bendar Al-Bashir: Biography

Bendar Al-Bashir earned a BFA in Film from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. During his studies, he worked as an assistant to various photographers and filmmakers in the city.

Though he inhabits a range of styles, Al-Bashir’s work has often gravitated toward the social fringes of urban Diasporas.

His portraits of the Hollywood homeless, New York punk rockers, and East Los Angeles bandito-hipsters have been exhibited on both American coasts.
