Jeffrey Ladd: Biography

Zacas Dunav (Soon is Danube): A Serbian Woman Returns Home

Jeffrey Ladd, born in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, in 1968, moved to New York City in 1987 to study photography at the School of Visual Arts. He received his B.F.A. degree in 1991. Ladd's work includes photographs from the former Yugoslavia, the Middle East, Turkey, and India. He has designed and produced several books of photographs and essays based on his travels, and is currently at work on a novel called Zacas Dunav: Soon is Danube that will include photographs from his experiences in the former Yugoslavia during 2001 and 2002.

Ladd's photographs have been widely exhibited in galleries and museums, including the International Center of Photography, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Howard Greenberg Gallery. His photographs are in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Museum of the City of New York.
