Tim Matsui
2007 Working with the FEAR (Friends Educating Against Rape) Project, Tim Matsui conducted speaker engagements in Seattle public schools as part of a multimedia presentation, titled “Listen to Learn.” Speakers addressed ninth- and tenth-grade health or life-skills classes and teen peer-advocacy groups, and used an onsite photography exhibition and DVD to illustrate the hidden nature of sexual violence. Matsui's goal was to create a safe space in which students can address the lasting effects of sexual violence on their lives and their communities. $22,300 | One Year | fearproject.org/ |
