2006 Alistair Berg partnered with Iliso Labantu (Eye of the People) to create "Flash Photo Weekends,” a combination of weekend-long shoots and subsequent exhibits in the townships of Cape Town, South Africa. The photographs were taken by people living in the townships and were exhibited around Cape Town, in the local communities, at outdoor malls and transportation hubs across the country, and via a website. Local photographers will receive training and equipment, allowing them to earn supplemental income through the sale of their work and engage in the marketplace on a professional level. $17,270 | One Year | |
