OSI’s Project on Death in America (PDIA) closed on December 31, 2003. Over its nine-year existence, PDIA distributed $45 million to organizations and individuals across America to improve care for dying patients and their families.

The Fall 2003 issue of PDIA’s newsletter is the 11th and final publication in the series. It contains information about PDIA’s exit strategy; announcements about palliative care fellowship training program grants and the last cohort of social work leaders; a report on new developments in pediatric palliative care; and an update on OSI’s International Palliative Care Initiative.
