Human Rights

Guidelines

The OSI Middle East & North Africa Initiative (MENA) partners with a number of human rights organizations in the region by providing grants for general support or specific projects. MENA’s mandate in this areas focuses on local nongovernmental organizations, including those that deal with rule of law, advocacy, and human rights education.

Virtually all of OSI’s support is geared toward realizing an improvement in human rights, whether in the sphere of media, women’s rights, law, or information access. More details are provided in the focus areas and grants section.
