International News Safety Institute
The International News Safety Institute is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to the safety of journalists and media staff and committed to fighting the persecution of journalists everywhere. The Institute is a coalition of media organisations, press freedom groups, unions and humanitarian campaigners working to create a culture of safety in media in all corners of the world.

Internews' Due Diligence Project
Internews' Due Diligence Project operates in several countries of the former Soviet Union to provide qualified legal assistance to broadcast media to help them remain viable and independent.

Macedonian Institute for Media
The Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM) is a center for specialized training of journalists and media professionals. MIM was established in 2001 as a nonprofit, nongovernmental institution to support the professionalization of the media, and is supported by esteemed members of the media throughout the country. MIM’s main objective is to actively participate in the process of Macedonia’s democratization by providing intensive assistance toward the implementation of professional standards of journalism and increased professionalization in Macedonia’s media system.

Public Association of Journalists (Kyrgyzstan)
The association monitors media freedom in nine regions of Kyrgyzstan and produces a weekly bulletin on media freedom issues.

Reporters Without Borders
A nonprofit that condemns attacks on press freedom worldwide by keeping the media and public opinion informed through press releases and public-awareness campaigns. It defends journalists and other media professionals who have been imprisoned or persecuted for doing their work; supports journalists who are being threatened and provides financial and other types of support to their needy families; fights to reduce the use of censorship and to oppose laws designed to restrict press freedom; and works to improve the safety of journalists world-wide.

South Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network
Central Asian and Southern Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network (further CASCFEN) is a voluntary association of the public organizations, called to protect freedom of expression and press in the region agreed to Article 19 of the Universal Human Rights Declaration.

South East Asia Press Alliance
"SEAPA is the first organization established specifically to campaign for genuine press freedom in Southeast Asia." A handful of journalists attending the November 1997 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum were discussing the then-spreading economic crisis over breakfast in a small Vancouver hotel, wondering out loud about where it would lead and why it was happening. At the table were Filipinos, Indonesians, a Malaysian and a Thai editor. They all agreed that corruption, lack of accountability and opaque business dealings were at the heart of the spreading financial gloom. Asian newspapers, they said, had often either failed to warn their readers or were prevented from doing so by government regulation and self-censorship.

World Association of Newspapers (WAN)
Founded in 1948, the World Association of Newspapers groups 72 national newspaper associations, individual newspaper executives in 100 nations, 13 news agencies, and nine regional press organisations. It is a non-profit, non-government organisation.

World Press Freedom Committee
The committee, a vigorous advocate of free press principles, emphasizes monitoring and coordination of free news media worldwide and offers practical assistance programs.

Yerevan Press Club (Armenia)
The club addresses media freedom concerns and works toward developing media legislation in Armenia.
