Article XIX
A nonprofit that works worldwide to combat censorship by promoting freedom of expression and access to official information. Article XIX monitors, researches, publishes, lobbies, campaigns, and litigates on behalf of freedom of expression wherever it is threatened; develops standards to advance media freedom; assists individuals to speak out and campaigns for the free flow of information.

Council of Europe, Media Division at Directorate General of Human Rights
The Media Division's activities are aimed at fostering freedom of expression and information in the members of the Council of Europe. Particular attention is paid to guaranteeing and enhancing media and journalistic freedoms.

European Institute for the Media
The institute is a think tank that analyzes media and communications development in Europe and advises policy makers, governments, and other social groups on the improvement of freedom of media in all parts of the continent.

Freedom of Expression Institute
The Freedom of Expression Institute (FXI) was established in 1994 to protect and foster the rights to freedom of expression and access to information, and to oppose censorship. The Institute was formed from a merger of three organisations: The Campaign for Open Media, the Anti-Censorship Action Group and the Media Defence Trust.

Georgian Young Lawyers Association
GYLA works towards establishing the sound norms of professional ethics among the lawyers; professional growth of lawyers; protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms; public awareness and growth of confidence towards the laws; creation of the effective legislative bases for the functioning democracy; and rule of law state.

Hong Kong Journalist Association
The Hong Kong Journalists Association is run by working journalists for the sole purpose of improving the working environment for the men and women who gather the news in Hong Kong. Established in 1968, the HKJA seeks to enhance press freedom and the integrity of news coverage, and as a trade union, also aims to improve working conditions for journalists and to remove barriers to news gathering. No other organisation in Hong Kong has as long a history and as consistent a record in striving toward these goals.

IJNet
A project of International Center for Journalists, IJNet hosts a collection of media laws and codes of ethics from the countries around the world.

Independent Journalism Center
The mission of the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) is to facilitate the development of news media in Moldova through the support and promotion of professionalism among journalists as well as through the development of independent media organizations in the country. IJC helps them to improve the quality of their work and achieve sustainability.

Indonesian Media Law and Policy Center (IMLPC)
Indonesia Media Law and Policy Centre (IMLPC) is a non-profit corporate body, as a centre for media law and policy studies for Indonesia, with the aim of : to back up, develop, and improve democracy, press freedom, human rights, and freedom of the information access through the media in Indonesia; to support creativity of media industry by working closely with jurisdiction, legal drafting, and research; to built up the spirit of cooperative alliance of all the media elements, the reader and the user of the media.

Macedonian Institute for Media
The Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM) is a center for specialized training of journalists and media professionals. MIM was established in 2001 as a nonprofit, nongovernmental institution to support the professionalization of the media, and is supported by esteemed members of the media throughout the country. MIM’s main objective is to actively participate in the process of Macedonia’s democratization by providing intensive assistance toward the implementation of professional standards of journalism and increased professionalization in Macedonia’s media system.

Media Institute of South Africa
The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) is a non-governmental organisation with members in 11 of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) countries. Officially launched in September 1992, MISA focuses primarily on the need to promote free, independent and pluralistic media, as envisaged in the 1991 Windhoek Declaration.

Media Law and Policy Center
The center, based in Russia, focuses on research programs related to the legislation affecting mass media; training seminars for all kinds of professionals interested in mass media law; conferences and scientific seminars on the most important issues of legislation in mass media and communications in Russia and abroad; and publication of a monthly journal and book series.

Montenegro Media Institute
During an inception phase in 2000-2001, the Montenegro Media Institute was established, with the support from the Danish foreign ministry (FRESTA programme), and with the Danish School of Journalism as implementing organisation. MMI started full scale operations in 2002, including training for hundreds of journalists, media research and policy making.

Moscow Media Law and Policy Center
The Moscow Media Law and Policy Institute (MMLPI) is a regional NGO which was founded in the autumn of 1995. The purpose of the Institute is to assist by means of legal education and research the development of free and independent Russian mass media and to support in all possible ways the formation of a civil society in Russia . When determining its priorities, the Institute works on the principle that the rule of law plays an important role in the establishment of free and independent mass media. Therefore, in order to lay the foundations of new, committed ideals of democracy and the freedom of expression, a generation of mass media managers, judges, politicians, lawyers, researchers, and university teachers must be continuously trained to respect the rule of law and rights of the press.

National Association of Independent Mass Media of Tajikistan
Central Asian and Southern Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network (further CASCFEN) is a voluntary association of the public organizations, called to protect freedom of expression and press in the region agreed to Article 19 of the Universal Human Rights Declaration.
