Dr. Kirk Smith, a Soros Advocacy Fellow, was featured in an April 2, 2005 Houston Chronicle article (subscription required to access). Dr. Smith is the director of Frontera de Salud (Border of Health), which has helped to expand Community Health Centers to bring better health care services to the state's and the nation's most indigent patients.
