
Dr. Wendy Levinson, a member of the founding MAP Advisory Board, was quoted in a June 1, 2004 New York Times article on doctor-patient communication and its relationship to poor health outcomes for patients and to lawsuits for physicians. The article referenced one of Dr. Levinson’s research studies, which concluded that physicians with a dominant tone of voice were more likely to be sued by patients than those with a warm tone of voice.
