Call for Proposals: Anticorruption Efforts
January 7, 2004

Anticorruption initiatives have been adopted by many governments throughout Central and Eastern Europe, Central Eurasia, and South Eastern Europe, often with the assistance and funding from major international bilateral and multilateral donors—and frequently civil society actors have provided support to these efforts through awareness and training programs. Nevertheless, corruption remains a problem, both at the national and local level, and the rights of citizens are compromised as a result.

The Human Rights and Governance Grants Program (HRGGP) seeks proposals from national and international organizations for their work monitoring, exposing, and combating corruption by government authorities throughout these regions. HRGGP aims to support projects developed by watchdog organizations that seek to curb corrupt behavior by the state authorities through programs that monitor those activities and respond with public and legal advocacy campaigns.

Note: The proposal deadline for this grant has passed. Please contact HRGGP for more information.
