Administrative Mobility
The program supports visits to/from a HESP Network Institution by administrative staff employed by higher education institutions in Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe; the former Soviet Union; and Mongolia.

Alumni Fund
The Alumni Fund provides alumni of AFP, the Civic Education Project, and the Support for Community Outreach and University Teaching Program with an opportunity to offer their academic expertise and professional skills to AFP target departments and contribute to their ongoing reform.

Departmental Development Projects
The Academic Fellowship Program funds Departmental Development Projects to further assist and strengthen the teaching and research capabilities of AFP partners, thereby contributing to the ongoing reform of higher education.

Faculty Mobility
The program supports visits to/from a HESP Network Institution by faculty members teaching at higher education institutions in Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe; the former Soviet Union; and Mongolia.

International Scholars
Each CARTI fellow from the region works in collaboration with an International Scholar, who is an advanced academic prominent in the fields of concern to the fellow's project.

International Scholars Fellowship Program
The International Scholars Fellowship Program invites highly qualified scholars in the social sciences and humanities from around the world to teach at selected university departments in the region.

Central Asia Research and Training Initiative Junior Fellowships
CARTI Junior Fellowships support young individuals in early stages of their doctoral studies and focus on development of high-quality research work.

Professional Development Projects
These funds facilitate the professional development of Academic Fellowship Program Returning Scholars by covering such costs as conference fees, travel expenses to and from academic events, or other expenses related to activities contributing to the development of the applicant as a scholar.

HESP Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching (ReSET)
The HESP Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching aims to promote and nurture teaching excellence in the social sciences and humanities on the undergraduate level.

Returning Scholars Fellowship Program
The Returning Scholars Fellowship Program offers financial, institutional, and professional development support for talented scholars who, after studying abroad, seek university positions and academic careers in their home countries.

SCOUT Course Development Grant Program
The SCOUT Program assists Western-trained professionals in applying their knowledge and experience towards promoting the values of open society, rule of law, market economy, and democracy among students, professionals, and community leaders, and in linking their professional activities with university-level instruction.

Central Asia Research and Training Initiative Senior Fellowships
Offered to young scholars who have recently received their doctoral degrees, CARTI Senior Fellowships support the advancement or revision of their research agenda and development of international research and teaching partnerships.
