Southeast European Network of Youth and Students with Disabilities

The Southeast European Network of Youth and Students with Disabilities (SEEN-YSD) currently includes student organizations from Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Serbia. The Network was established in 2003. In the first phase of the project a joint survey on students with disabilities in seven public state universities in Moldova, Serbia, and Macedonia was conducted. The results and analysis of this survey are ready to be promoted in public and used in process of lobbing for changes in legislation and policy related to the position of students with disabilities. In the second phase of the project, a simultaneous media campaign was held to promote the survey results and legal analysis of the first phase. The third phase of the project began in 2007. In 2008 a new survey within teaching and administrative staff at state universities in SEE will be conducted. The results of the survey will be promoted in a campaign at the end of the year.
