Alumni Fund

The Academic Fellowship Program (AFP) Alumni Fund provides alumni of AFP, the Civic Education Project (CEP), and the Support for Community Outreach and University Teaching Program (SCOUT) with an opportunity to offer their extensive academic expertise and professional skills to AFP partner departments and contribute to their ongoing reform.

Eligibility

Alumni of the AFP Returning Scholar, CEP Eastern Scholar/Local Faculty Fellow (up to and including academic year 2003–2004), and SCOUT Programs are eligible to apply for the AFP Alumni Fund. Please note that applications involving alumni of the AFP International Scholar and CEP Visiting Scholar/Visiting Faculty Fellow Programs are also encouraged.

Applicants may submit project proposals aimed at the AFP target departments in any country (not only in the country where the AFP/CEP/SCOUT fellowship was granted).

All projects must focus on AFP partner departments and be consistent with their departmental reform agenda. The AFP Alumni Fund will support projects with a budget up to $2,000.

Application Process & Deadlines

The AFP Regional Offices are available for consultations prior to submitting the proposal, and Alumni are strongly encouraged to discuss their ideas with Regional Managers before proceeding. Project must be submitted in English electronically to the AFP Regional Offices on a rolling basis.
