Urban Justice Center
2005 A grant to support the October 2005 roundtable “Sex Work, Sexual Rights, and Countering the Conservative Sexual Agenda” which was organized by the Urban Justice Center’s Sex Workers Project (SWP), held at OSI and co-funded by SHARP, SWP, the Alliance for Open Society International, and the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission. The meeting was an opportunity for a diverse group of advocates, academics, policy experts , service providers and sex workers to discuss and strategize on a common agenda to combat the negative effects of regressive US policies on the health of sex workers globally. A concrete result of the meeting was the formulation of a working group to outline policy objectives and a related media strategy. New York, NY | $18,600 | 5 months | www.urbanjustice.org |
