A grant to raise the awareness of health service providers in Kyrgyzstan of the health needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, and to raise awareness among LGBT NGOs and communities on health and health services.

The project included the training of LGBT health trainers and follow-up trainings for the LGBT community on health issues; the development of six Russian-language brochures to educate a variety of medical specialists on the health needs of LGBT people; and a six-day sensitization and skills training for 14 medical professionals from three regions of Kyrgyzstan. This grant was funded in partnership with Soros Foundation Kyrgyzstan.
