ARC International
2007

A grant to support a strategy, training and planning consultation: the International Dialogue on Gender, Sexual Orientation, HIV/AIDS & Human Rights - Focus on Africa. The International Dialogue was hosted by the Coalition of African Lesbians and ARC International, in collaboration with other South African, African and international NGOs. The Dialogue took place from December 6-10, 2007 in Johannesburg, South Africa and brought together 60 people from over 40 different countries, with a particular emphasis on participation from Africa.

ARC International is a non-profit organization which works to strengthen recognition of human rights based on sexual orientation and gender identity at the international level. ARC achieves this through the development of global networks, creating practical and accessible learning tools, and building the capacity of groups and individuals to become engaged in UN processes, and other human rights mechanisms, in ways that are relevant and meaningful for them.
