ARC International
2005

A grant to support ARC International’s strategy, training and planning consultation “International Dialogue on Gender, Sexuality, HIV/AIDS and Human Rights: Focus on Asia,” which took place in Seoul, Korea, November 25-28, 2005. ARC International is an international non-governmental organization which works cooperatively with organizations active on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender ("LGBT") and related issues, such as women's rights, HIV/AIDS, and sexual rights and health. Building on consultations successfully hosted in Brazil in December, 2003 and then in Geneva 2004, the International Dialogue was to provide an essential opportunity for organisations active in advancing sexual orientation, HIV/AIDS, gender and gender identity issues regionally and internationally to gather and engage in training relevant to building their own capacity, learning about U.N. and other international mechanisms, strategic planning, identification of priorities, building and strengthening regional networks and developing tools for working together as effectively as possible.
