2009

A grant to support the planning of a two-day pre-conference satellite meeting on men who have sex with men (MSM) and HIV at the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna in 2010.  The overall focus of the satellite meeting is expanding access to services worldwide, with the additional goals of raising the visibility of global MSM issues, fostering opportunities for information exchange, and facilitating meaningful networking among researchers, government officials, human rights groups, and AIDS advocates.  The goals of the planning period include: coordinating the logistics of the two-day satellite meeting in partnership with the International AIDS Society; galvanizing global support and funding for the MSM satellite; and maximizing global input from MSM stakeholders around the world by creating mechanisms for consultation and feedback.
